corporal punishment By nj teacher
|
| Thank goodness I live in a state that doesn't use corporal punishment! Those educational systems there must be very lax in their readings of the research that abounds on physical forms of punishment. THEY DON'T WORK! Besides that, any teacher should be aware of how damaging this is to a child. Children are acting out for a reason. There usually not doing something wrong to "get you". Why not find out how to help them in a kind, respectful way. Children who are constantly in trouble should be refered to a CST or guidance counselor in their school for help.It is your duty to be an advocate for all children.
