I think were in the same school

I have the identical situation happening at my charter school. I am also a first year teacher and I have had to "alter" grades for students with D's . i don't understand why they think that they are setting them up for sucess? All they set them up for is failure in the even that they leave our school for any circumstances out of their control, theyre gonna bomb in a regular school! My question is ,can I lose my teaching license for doing this?
