Don't mean to be critical, but personally don't like to call it "graduation". We call it our STEP UP CELEBRATION; on the ladder of learning we're stepping up to first grade.

The program consists of the children doing a Bible Verse, song, and or finger play/poem for each month of the school year.(I put the month calendar headings on wall as decoration) Also do a little skit about Daniel in the Lions Den and The Three Billy Goats Gruff.(Their 2 favorites)And allow those who want to read short books. Do 2 or 3 things for each month.

I say something special about each child and present them with a memory book (samples of their work and pictures that have been spiral bound)

We conclude with a song to the tune of the Adams Family (will try to locate on web)and then have refreshments that the parents have supplied.

It's usually an emotional, but fun time. Only takes about 1 to 1 1/2 hours.
