"rainforest ideas" By sarah
|
| Our whole school is currently learning about the environment and the rainforest. We are having a parent walk-through day. All classrooms and bulletin boards have wonderful displays. Some ideas are: Having the students take home a parent-student project in which they have to create a insect of the rainforest, bigger than a bread-box and smaller than a refrigerator (the teacher that sent this project has grade 1-2 and many wonderful paper mache insects) Use coffee filters and have the children color two, spray with water and put together with a pipe cleaner to create a butterfly. These can be hung or made into a border on a board. The classic palm leaves cut and hung from the ceiling as well as brown vines. Create a jungle hut in the classroom. Streamers light blue and dark hanging in the class doorway for a waterfall.
