not to be difficult... By roo

| Not to be difficult, but we really don't DESERVE "mental health days" in the sense that we're entitled to them. I have 3 professional days that I can use for urgent personal business that can't be conducted outside of school hours, and I earn sick days for times that I or someone in my family is legitimately ill or has a medical appointment. In good conscience, I could not take a mental health day. Weekends, summer vacation, spring break, winter break and holidays are my mental health days. Yes, there are days when I would give almost anything to have one, but I don't have vacation days to use for this purpose. I was taught that to take time off of work "just because" is stealing from my employer in that it is stealing time. It's a rigid code, I know, but I try to live by it. It keeps me honest. I know others believe differently.
