Everyone has shared such valid points, but here's the deal - everyone in my school could loop if they wanted to. There are many that don't want to learn another grade level curriculum, prefer to have different students each year, etc. The other aspect to look at is that our school really does nothing to share student achievement. Noone would ever even know if my students were higher achieving than another because our district does not recognize students in that way. I highly doubt that my administrator will let me loop, but thought it would be worth a try - because after all, isn't our focus to help students become higher achieving?
