I understand the looking 12 at 22 problem--i am just 22, doing student teaching in 1st grade and look like im in about the 9th grade. i'm only 5'2" and have curly blonde ahir and wear glasses( does that say 14 to anyone else??), though i dress old enough and act professionally. on my first day there one of the boys asked if i knew his sister, becuase she's in the 8th grade too--he just assumed that iw as the same age as his siter becuase i was short and look youg. now, however, i have the complete respct and control of all 22 1st graders adn my coop teacher adn the administration don't treat me any diferntly, so be yourself, but put out the message that you are 22 and the teacher, not 12 and thier babysitter, they'll get the picture and you'll have no more worries!
