Kind of in the same boat

I am 24 and still living in my parents basement. Know what... that is not pathetic, it is SMART! Think about how much money you can save. I don't have to pay rent or anything to them so it is great. Trust me... I want to move out A.S.A.P. but right now it is impossible. There is no way I could afford an apartment. I would be so miserable and broke. In order for people to understand our generation, they need to watch Suzi Orman's presentation on "Young, Fabulous, and Broke." It is on public TV. It makes you understand why we are so broke and what we can do NOW, so we aren't broke in the FUTURE. IT IS AWESOME!!!!

You also said something about having to graduate by a certain time. Well that is total BS!! I can tell you that it took me 5.5 years to complete college and I never stopped going. Actually I went full time every semester (except summer). I have come to notice that college today takes longer for students. There is more for us to learn, and a lot of people need to work because once again WE ARE BROKE!! I went to a college where half of our population were "Mom's." They are taking a hell of a lot longer than I did to complete college. So, I guess what I am trying to say is that everyone finishes at their own pace. The important part is that they FINISH!

Just set a plan for yourself and stick to it. It doesn't matter what others say, just as long as you know what your doing. Once again I really suggest that you watch Suzi Orman and her "Young, Fabulous, and Broke." I hope this helped.
