My Favorite read alouds

I have been teaching 5th grade for years and reading aloud does so much for the children. Noone has mentioned my absolute favorite book to read aloud: The Man Who Loved Clowns. I have read it for the last 6 years and I still cry at the end. It has tons of feeling and caring and the children stay glued. It is about a Down syn man and his life. Also, the Witches by Dahl. I always read the Best Xmas Pageant Ever at Xmas. I am now reading Matilda by Dahl. I have tons of others but add these to your list. Enjoy
