I have to agree with lou. I have been out of university and subbing for almost a year, searching for a fulltime job all the while. There have been 2 positions in the elementary level during the past 2 years (including several school divisions) and those were not advertised because the school divisions just juggled teachers around. There ended up being 1 high school position instead of 2 elementary postions. I am very discouraged. The only options right now for me are to keep subbing or move far far away. Maybe it just depends where you live, what your areas of specialization are, and what grades you teach, but I am having a PROBLEM finding a job.
