    I don't think so

I think we do have modifications in the real world. I personally am dyslexic with problems with writing and math- I also have adhd and yes I have and use modifications. I use my computer and or palm to help me with writing, spelling, and math(as well as organization) for the adhd- I have self designated work times when I close my doors turn off the flickering lights and close my windows so I can do my paperwork without any distractions. I think it is important that we teach the students what modifications they need and why these things help so they are able to use the modifications on their own in a non obtrusive sort of way. But I do think if you take a good look at people in the "real world" you will see that not everyone does things in the same way and everyone uses thier strengths to help compensate for their weaknesses we need to teach students to do the same thing.
