can the secretary screen your phone calls

our secretary is very good screening calls from obnoxious parents maybe yours could do that for you so that you can choose the time to return the call? Also at our school visitors have to check in at the office and get a visitor's badge to wear before coming to the rooms...they have to sign in on a slip and state the reason for visiting the school. we've done this since 9/11...so maybe you could talk to your principal about having the same policy. The office stops all parents who just want to come down for a chat. Also all staff has been trained to approach people who are badgeless and redirect them to the office. This has really cut down on parents just dropping by when ever they feel like interrupting instruction time!
