We made very cute scarecrows heads last year after reading "The Scarecrows Hat". The children stuffed a brown paper lunch bag with newspaper, stapled it shut, and then painted the face. Next, we used paper bowls (for the scarecrows hat) and used torn strips of newspaper for hair and glued them around the edges of the bowl for hair. Then, setthe bowls onto the paper bag head. It took a couple of days to complete but they were very cute.
