Sometimes specials can help regular class tea By Bonnie
|
| Several years ago I had the most difficult class of my career. The kids didn't listen well and the principal and I didn't see eye to eye. At times I would be late to gym because I couldn;t get the class to walk downstairs quietly. When this happened, my wonderful gym teacher would tell the class that they weren't ready to pay attention in gym. And if they couldn't walk down the stairs safely, without playing, she was concerned about their safety in gym. She would have them practice walking down the stairs calmly and quietly. And a couple of times they sat for part of their gym class. I truly appreciated her support and help with a very difficult class. Whenever one of our specials teachers has difficulty with a student, the student goes to the office since I am not always in my room.
