If the PreK teacher and administrators thought she was ready for K then she should be there. It is probably going to take more than a week to get turn taking etc in control. Ask for a conference and find out the good and the bad and the correctable for your child. Ask for suggestions of things you can work on at home as well. Attention span. What is that!! I teach 4yo and I think the attention span is maybe about 3 min?! If that! If this teacher is new, I agree she might just need a few more years to see the huge variety in classroom personalities from year to year. Hang in there.
