Little older student..

I am 30 and I am also a semester away from student teaching. I don't feel like I am very good at telling children what to do or keeping them under control. I observed some teachers and they seem to have such control over the children and all their activites, and I don't feel like I have that. I have mixed feelings about having 30 plus children under my care all day. If something would ever happen to them, I would never forgive myself. I've heard so many different views on classroom management that I am very confused. Does every new teacher have doubts about their ability to keep control over their classroom? Any encouragement or guidence would be great!
