This year I purchased a copy, printer, scanner from staples, to keep in my classroom. It does not have to be connected to a pc. Furthermore, I used my teacher's reward card and I'll get back $10 from the cost of the $99 (plus tax) machine through the mail.

To replace the ink cartiridges is about $55 for a twin pack of black. The ink cartiridge will last you a while. I don't replace the color often because I use it as little as possible. At the most I may have replaced the black about 4 times throughout the year. And remember this is used at home for everything. It depends on how much copying you do. I think it's cheaper that paying for copies. It is more convient.

The printer is a HP moderl # 1210, or 1315. I have never had any problems with it. Staples also offers an extended 2 yr warranty for $20.

I hope this helps. Don't forget to continue to get the copies that are available at the school. It's really worth having your own, when you use both resources.
