first of all good luck. A scenerio I have is a good modeling/teaching one. you will need to get your TA or another willing teacher involved. Have them borrow your favotite pen without asking. when you see them using it, yell at her inappropriately "That's my pen, give it back, I didn't say you can borrow it you idiot!" Have the TA throw it at you, then throw a whole stack of pens at you. she should yell back at you that your rude, here's your stupid pen, take all the pens I don't care and don't want to work with you anymore---storm out the the room. Kids will be shocked. all red faced and flustered, tell them to do silent reading for 15 minutes. After 5 minutes the TA comes back. Model appropriate behavior. " Sorry I got so mad at you of course I will share my pen, please just ask next time. TA- I overreacted and should have never threw anything at you.. Pick up pens all over floor together. Extend this conversation you get the picture. No need to ever tell the students this was an act. At least let them mull it over overnight. You must not laugh and be convincing. hope this helps. make up scenes like this one all year. the best teaching is modeling.
