Gifted for 1st, 2nd graders

I taught the gifted in first and second grade last year for the first time. Whew! I also wrote the curriculum too. We used themes such as Nutrition, Folklore, Community, Fairy Tales, It's Me, etc. to introduce higher level thinking skills. Most activities are hands-on and are across the curriculum. Also, we did a lot of group research projects: for example-- The Brothers Grimm using the internet and other sources.
