Karen, I was in the same boat. I taught for one year, then stayed home for 9 years to be a SAHM. I just started back 3 years ago. I took a class the summer before I started, to get me back in the swing of things (I needed it for CEU credits anyway). You also might want to substitute for a while to get the feel for it again. There are a ton of books you could read, to brush up on the latest. Some good ones are Strategies that Work, Guided Reading, and Nonfiction Matters.
