    consequences

    My students know the rules because I spend the first two weeks of school going over them with activities, drama, etc. I am VERY strict in that aspect--you are at school to learn and you have no right to bother others that are trying to learn! I handle my consequences in my room (not sent to principal unless it is severe).

    My students receive a checkmark in their agenda for:
    talking
    not working
    bothering others
    no homework
    things like that

    They pay 5 min. for each checkmark at recess (3 checkmarks in one day and they miss ALL recess). If they didn't have homework, they do that at recess then serve their 5 min. (most of my students have all homework because they want to play homeworkopoly!!) If they get 5 checkmarks in a week, they go to detention (after school).

    Reasons that warrent a visit to the principal's office would be intentionally harming someone(fighting), repeat offenses (have to become habitual), treating someone inappropiately (cursing or anything else).
