I have used a "Calendar Board" several years. I use a blank calendar grid that we fill in with shapes to make a pattern each month (abab, aabaab, abc, etc.) Other activities include student of the day, date, day of the week, word of the day, place value, time, money, odd or even, number patterns, and counting. We count by 1, 2, 5, & 10 both forward and backward. At the beginning we do not count to 100 all the different ways. We start by counting by 1, 2, 5, etc. to 10, then 20, then 30, etc. There are many different ways to do it, but find what works for you. Good Luck!
