Guilty Conscience

Personally, when I have parents like that, I just tell myself that it is the guilty conscience of the parent and trying to allow themself and their child to avoid consequences. It doesn't have anything to do with you. It is being taken out on you, but I really think that in most cases we get down to the end of the year and the parents realize "I was going to help XX more this year with her homework" or "I should have gotten back with XX's teacher about this sooner" and instead of accepting that, they blame us. Try not to take it personally! =)
