Hi Cindy,
If you're feeling it, chances are the kids are also. Why not group the desks? Rather than change the schedule, maybe read some professional books and rethink some of your instruction. If you're primary, I'd say 'Guided Reading' or 'The Art of Teaching Reading' For intermediate 'Guiding Readers and Writers'. Try something new!!! And let us know how it goes. ;-D
