I went from 3rd to 5th and found that there was quite a difference. The biggest was attitudes. Fifth graders have horrible attitudes, especially after the Christmas break. You have to deal with cliches, drama queens ("Bob" wants me to go with him, but I told him no and now he has everybody calling me a slut!) kinda things. The curriculum is more difficult and I had to "refresh", especially in Math - Prime/Composites, LCM, GCF, etc. Overall I have enjoyed my time in 5th despite the above. Most students work independently, and you can do some neat, creative stuff. The biggest benefit is ....5th graders get your jokes. gapeach
