am ready to get out

I am just counting the days until I am out of my current position. Since I have been at this school (four years), I have been threatened physically three times. For example, one boy two years ago said he was going to bring a knife to school and slit me in the throat with it. he also fondled the girls' breasts. (Fifth grade.) School is a rough place to work. My stomach is in knots every day I go to work. The kids are rude and disorderly. One even walked out of my classroom today, even after I told him I wasn't authorizing the leave. My principal is heaping more and more paperwork on us, and there are new state standards for teachers to become renewed in their certification. I want out, already!!! Even Wal-Mart is beginning to look good as a job.
