There are several degrees of Visual impairment. I myself and visually impaired and the only accomodations I ever needed were extra time and enlarged materails. I also used Books on tape from Recording for the Blind and Dyslexic. If I were you, I would look for a website that shows large diagrams of the parts of a plant that you will be discussing. You can't expect the child to see every detail, but if you can find a large colorful display that he/she could match up to the live plant, that might be helpful. Once again, everyone's level of impairment is different. Consult the child's case worker (if he/she has one) as well. They are good resources as to how to accomodate your students. Good luck, and I hope this was of some help to you! God bless!- Erica
