Glad I could give you some insight. Please remember as well that learning is very developmental and while it might seem to easy at times for your daughter it might be teaching her valuable rules and skills as she develops in her writing skills. Your school district should have a curriculum in place for grade 1 and you should be able to access it. This way you can know for sure what the requirements are and if your daughter is learning everything she needs to learn.I also firmly believe that playtime and family time is very important in these young years. As long as she is able to read at grade level, do her math and is able to write at expected levels don't worry about doing too much extra. There is a lot of value in "other" learning as well, cooking with mom, going to the museum, watching an educational show on TV, taking music lessons.
