I did it last year! LOVED IT By JD
|
| My class read a biography on a famous person in January and then we did the whole research paper scene for Feb and March. We did the notecards- the final copy. When they were done they had to pick 10 facts and design a poster. Each person had to dress as their person and had to come up with a clever way to "come alive" in the museum. One girl did E. Roosevelt. She was great!! She had a beautiful chair that she sat in and was holding a tea cup. She had a sign on a little table that said "Pour Elenor a cup of tea to make her come alive" People would take the tea pot and pour and she would stand and say her 2-3 minute speech and then return to her chair and FREEZE! It was the coolest thing to see! They had to either have something to stand on or a chair. One girl was MAgic johnson and she wore a uniform and stood frozen like she was going to shoot. It was really great! The best part was we had it throughout the halls in the school for a night viewing for parents! When they were all frozen it was really neat! It looked like a real museum. E-mail me if you have any questions. We are doing it again this year!
