As you plan, please consider that there is an embedded religious component to much of the activity in a pow wow. It is great fun for the participants and interesting, but I would not allow my child to participate. Please do your research and be sure you aren't compromising a child's own religion as they do things to honor the great spririt or protect against evil spirits in a pow wow. It is not the same God as many practice.
