Our resource teachers eventually came to the conclusion that they should request that they be given the various empty small conference rooms, larger storage rooms that weren't being used and the old nurse's room. It took some convincing, but they eventually were granted these spaces and, with some work, have created some lovely little spaces for small group ESL and special ed classes. Maybe this could work in your school?
