The first question that would make a difference is where your husbands job would be located. Denver tech center versus downtown, Aurora versus Thornton. I will give you general info and then can be more specific later if you want more info. I have interviewed all over denver and have ended up in longmont school district which is about 20 miles north of denver. Southern denver which would be the tech center is pricey. A lot of new huge homes and some older homes. The schools are hard to get into because they are year round so they started in June or July. The commute is nice though for your husband. Aurora is a older community but if you go into eastern Aurora you can get into some nice reasonable priced homes or apartments. The northern areas are older like Thornton but they are building some nice homes that are very good priced. The schools are a little different and you need to be careful with the districts and even some of the schools in the districts. ADAMS 12 is a good district but stay north. Westminster 50 is a fairly good district I would stay away from Adams 1 though. Jeffco school district is the whole west side of the denver area and they are a pretty good district but hard to get into. This is a really rough overview so please feel free to ask me about a certain area. I wish someone had been able to tell me some areas to stay away from or to go towards.
