I teach second ~ first we brainstorm a list of our "hopes and Dreams" for school this year. Then we decide what kinds of behaviors would help us achieve our goals. Then we state the rules in Positive language ( If we are not going to run in the halls what will we do?) Then we condense the list into 4 or 5 rules - we write them beautifully on a chart and all sign them. (All Responsive Classroom" procedures)
