What a great idea! By guggy

| Teachers can always use help! This is a great way to alleviate the stress of getting everything done in a short amount of time! Like the other post said any die-cutting, copying, filing, laminating, etc that can be done is always helpful. Also I know younger children love to work with parents in the classroom. You can help by listening to them read or read with them, practice math or writing (especially with younger kids), sight words, spelling words, keeping kids who get off track easily on track to get their work done. Just ask any teacher in your building. They will have a list of things for you to do I am sure. One thing to remember though....and I have learned this from experience. Do a good job on the work that you do for them. I have spent long hours planning posters and other items for my room only to have them ruined when a volunteer was laminating them. Obviously it was by accident but still it was upsetting. Make sure all your volunteers know how to work the equipment and make sure teachers are specific with directions. If you're not sure ask! Good Luck..I know your teachers will appreciate everything you do!
