Pair the learning with a fun thing to do...

Sounds rather simplistic, yet picture Bingo using your own digital photos or very specific clip art as the items can help encourage learning.

I have a group of men and women who will soon be merged within a single classroom; some know names while others have no idea, so I'll create Bingo cards with digital photos of each participant. Some times, I'll simply hold up the larger version of a photo and ask certain people who only yet are addressing "matching skills" to match the photo. Some will be asked who's photo I'm holding up as they're learning "identification skills" and yet others I'll recite the name of the person in the photo and those people are working on "recognition" skills. The way I play the game depends largely upon the current skills of the players. I also may mix in staff's photos.

The most recent version of Bingo I've developed is one around a topic such as summer time. I think people enjoy seeing the clip art of cookouts, the beach, sunglasses, etc. You get the idea. If you'd like a copy of the Summer Bingo, just say so in your reply along with your e-mail addy. Okay?
