Although from my posting it would appear I teach in the Catholic System, I actually teach in a program of choice (LOGOS) within the Public system :-) Sounds somewhat confusing, but basically there are a variety of programs within the public system--from bilingual programs, to sports programs, to arts programs, to christian programs--for parents to choose from. Right now the teaching situation in Edmonton Public Schools is not so hot due to MANY layoffs, however, the Catholic board seems to be alright. I have a couple of friends who are teaching in the system and really enjoy it. I do know that you need a letter from your priest explaining your support and participation in the church. Sorry I can't be of more help, but you could look at http://www.ecs.edmonton.ab.ca/ to see if the Catholic School Board site could give you some more answers. Have a good one!
