Being that summer is near you can have a beach, ocean or Hawaii theme. You could do relays outside with dressing in grass skirts, leis, hats, sunglasses, hawaiian shrits... Teach the Hula. In class study Hawaii or the ocean assign each group a topic to research info like geographic info, sea life, people etc. and have a table with books and magazines or computer to search through. Have a snack table to make a related food like a cream cheese island with celery palm trees and cucumber fish. Have them learn a song or recite a poem on the topic. Make a mural of sea life or native costumes. Have each group present what they learned to the rest of the class at the end and celebrate by eating the snacks!
