How about letter or word stamps or picture stamps that they have to write a story or sentence for. You can do puzzles, blocks, matching games with rhyming picture or word flashcards, making patterns with unifix cubes, story starters on index cards, or try a file with some fun worksheets in them like ones with coloring or find the hidden picture (like in Highlights magazine).
