I just started my first teaching position at a private school. I thought I would use the private school as a springboard to a public school position, but I absolutely love the "family" I work with. Talk about having faith..... In addition,parents are supportive especially in terms of discipline.The administration (principal who is also a catholic nun) is supportive yet holds onto some rock solid values missing from public schools. We get to celebrate Christmas in all it's glory. Not allowed in most public schools. Unlike public schools I answer to one master, the principal.
