Sometimes our greatest enemy is ourself. I can't seem to help but catch an underlying tone in your posts that you can't let go of the fact that you feel you deserve better treatment than you are currently receiving at school and at this board.(Stating that you got passed over for a job that you deserved and that everyone except you gets good advice on this board). Respect is earned, not given, and I am sorry to say, but if you come across at work with the same anger and harshness, with the same, "I deserve better than this" attitude that you have portrayed in your responses in this thread, then you are setting yourself up for failure. Yes, you do have the right to vent, but it is a given that if you vent, someone may respond. It may be positive. It may be negative. You need to learn to accept both. It is more than likely that you will respond to me unfavorably, and as far as I'm concerned that's fine. This board is a venue for people to share their vents, concerns, opinions, and advice. There will always be people who say things we don't like, there will always be disagreements on this or any board. The smart thing to do would be to let it go and move on or you can choose to continue the debate in an appropriate manner--either way, losing the negative tone and the "poor me" attitude will help you to earn the respect you are seeking.
