I agree with you

I agree that a degree does hold some sort of importance. I have seen my share of teachers who arent' that qualified and havae seen some that are great teachers. I have also seen subs who have no degree at all that are better at teaching children, and some subs that aren't worth a dime. I was talking about this same subject with a couple of teachers who are so down to earth (and have been teaching 20 plus years), and they all say the same thing, a certificate doesn't mean that you know more than someone who isn't certified, the question is, experience. How much? With what age group? etc.......... This is a subject that both sides could argue about forever! Everyone has their own opinion, and thats great.
