Ok, I didn't mean it in the way that I wrote it. I will be the first to say that a teacher who leaves plenty of notes, and suggestions, is a teacher that I love! That wasn't exactly what I am talking about. I am talking about the ones who make you feel small minded. I am talking about the stuck up ones who think that their way is the only way to deal with problemed kids, the one who always has a remark toward subs in general. I am not talking about teacher who leave LONG detailed notes on the lessons, or the students. In my opinion, a teacher who leaves the attendance and her lesson plan book ,and that is it is a teacher who isn't prepared or doing her job correctly. I think that ALL teachers should leave notes, and suggestions on how to teach a certain subject. I think that they should have to leave bus notes, allergy, religious notes, etc...... I honestly didn't mean for anyone to take it the way that I wrote it, honestly I didn't. I more or less was talking about their attitudes, and conversations that I may over hear, or their actions towards subs comapred to other teachers. I am not meaning to offend anyone by saying this, but if I do, SO WHAT, get over it, but do you honestly think that you would be able to take off for a day to go to the doctor if there were no subs, and the next time that a teacher wants to turn her nose up at someone because they are sitting in the lounge having a group discussion at lunch and a sub puts her opinion out on the table, and the teacher wants to make the remark "You are just a sub, how could you possible understand what I am talking about", just think that if it wasn't for that person who is "just a sub", you wouldn't get a day off, or you would have to come in sick as a dog, or you would have to come in when a relative dies, and you would have to come in when something personal happens at home, and say, this person who is "just a sub" needs a little more appreciation. If you think down on all subs, then you have a serios problem. I agree that there are subs out there that know less than the students do, and they are the ones who should try even harder to learn the job. I have always said, if you don;t understand a lesson, how can yousit there and make the students understand it? OK enough talking. I am truely sorry if I offended anyone with what I said.
