    Getting their attention

    I use a bell. I tap on the bell three times to
    get their attention. I also had a difficult time
    getting the students to pay attention and do their work. I got this advise from a veteran teacher. She said assign the work and all the
    time they are working they have two folder up on their desk so nobody can see their work. It cuts down on cheating and talking. They can't see each other they have to stay focus on their work.
