Reading and Writing

My response was: my reading program would incorporate the 4 blocks methodology (this is the program most used in the schools around here). I would have several different literacy centers available to the students while I took a small group for guided reading instruction and running records(for assessment). I would explain a little about the literacy centers and also about the other parts of four blocks such as the read-aloud, self-selected reading, words, and writing. As for my writing program, I explained to them that I would incorporate writing throughout the day during various subjects (daily journals, surveys, etc.) and my main writing component would be conducted as a Writer's Workshop where the students are editing, evaluating, publishing, and sharing their work.
