    The Social Studies frameworks are brand new. Luckily, the state seems to recognize that. Fifth graders will NOT be tested this year in Social Studies, because schools need time to align themselves with the new standards. I hope Alt. assessment portfolios will not be required this year either for fifth grade.

    You can call the DOE to confirm this.

    Is there a supervisor or principal that can answer your questions for your school?
