| I use read alouds to teach the skills we are working on for that day, however sometimes I don't use the entire book. I may use parts depending on the skill. I would like to use read alouds as a source of enjoyment or reinforcement, but not necessarily work. Maybe I am asking for too much when we don't already have time in our days. It's just that when we previously used read alouds for enjoyment, the kids really liked it. I was able to read chapter books many of them could not handle independently and they really got into it. I have not thought of a way I could incorporate chapter books as a read aloud. Do you'll have any suggestions for this? Or do I use the chapter books as part of the mini-lesson? I think I answered my question as I asked it. Just tell me what you think.
