The times they are a changin'

Although I am younger than Ken (don't mean to rub it in Ken), I too see a difference in the way children are being taught at home. As a teacher, I've come to realize that the values of many parents are not similar to my own values. Questioning authority used to be something that encouraged deeper thought, now it is simply used as an excuse not to conform and/or behave. I believe parents are doing their children a disservice by allowing them to misbehave without consequence. Some parents honestly believe their children will "outgrow" a behavior. Pity they don't realize it only gets worse.
