In Nevada you must have 6 units within 5 years. Our large school district offers inservice workshops both fall and spring that will fulfill these requirements. The majority of these classes are free. Also any reading or math council week-end conferences count for units. I am just taking anything free!! I enjoy going to new schools and seeing their set-ups and talking to teachers who work across town. Yes, it is another thing to do with work, family, and a time crunch. I sometimes take classes outside my area-- special ed and get rejuvenated learning something completely new to me.
