Rememberance Day

Last year we planted tulip bulbs all around our school. It was beautiful in the spring. I also contacted Veteran's Affairs and there is a children's book they can send in both languages on peacekeeping. There are also postcards your students can send to Canadian peacekeepers. My sister-in-law is in Bosnia right now so my class will send some over and hope she gets to see some. It really boosts their spirits especially those staying over Christmas. Veteran's Affairs also has an activity booklet they will send for free for the whole class. It may be a bit late for this year but there are some ideas. Good luck.
