i teach in a catholic school and we are not even allowed to call them PREPS. out of 5 days, i get only 2 "empty classes" a week. only on fridays, two in one day. i hate it. when i worked in public school we had one everyday. they liked you to be "planning", and mostly we were. i think teachers need that "break" in order to survive the day and be refreshed when the children come back to us. we need them, and so do the subs.....just a thought.
